10 Handy Hints for a Successful Party

- Use our wealth of experience to help YOU.

Our booking fee includes Upto 100 FREE Glowsticks which are distributed by the D.J during the party!.

1. Book well in advance to avoid disappointment

2. Timing: We can usually help recommend a good time for your party.

For the younger children (4-7 years) lunchtime parties are the best 12-2pm (most of the children

have been up since six and are often too tired in the late afternoon).

The older children are fine with the lunchtime spots as well as 3-5pm. If they are aged 10 and above

the evening spot 6.30pm or later works well as it makes them feel grown up.

3. Name Badges - are an excellent idea, younger children feel very comfortable if the entertainer

knows their name and is a aid for the entertainer too.

4. Food: If you are providing food, have an organised break-time. We can suggest a suitable time.

Leaving the children to help themselves often disrupts the others and can disorganise the whole

  structure of the party.

5. Birthday Cake: Organise prior to the party whether you wish for the children to eat the birthday cake

at the party or take some home in the party bags. Let the entertainer know what you have decided so

they can organise the party around this.

6. Prizes: Don’t worry about providing prizes for the competitions. We will usually provide prizes

(if arranged and within your budget). If you are inviting more then 20 children and wish for

them all to receive a prize, we would recommend you buy extra sweets to cover the total

number of children. The DJ can give these out for you if you require.

7. Be Accessible: The DJ is there to entertain and not to take sole responsibility of the children. We

recommend that you have at least 1 adult per ten children available if they are little. This is to

accompany them to the toilet, do up shoe laces, put hair bands back on etc; you would be amazed

how many children ask the DJ to do this when they are dancing.

8. Older children should also be supervised to ensure the party runs smoothly.

9. Relax: Don’t worry too much about your little ‘angels’. We will keep them amused. Have a glass of

wine with your friends and enjoy the party. If a lot of parents stay at the party try to stay in an adjacent

room, as parents watching can sometimes distract children.

10. RELAX AND ENJOY THE PARTY!!!
